Today, we went to watch "painted Skin". If i were to mark it, I would give it highest marks.Beforehand, I got to know "painted skin" when I was young and believed in ghosts.Once I asked my mother what "painted skin" was. To my astonishment,her face changed colour immediately and told me seriously that it was all make-believe. The seriousness in her tone made me uneasy, and she went further to warn me not to mention "painted skin". To her grievance,I am the kind that the more you warn me, the more I am attracted to it. Though she always put a long face when I said the two mysterious words, in the deepest in my heart I am not scared by it at all!
Then came the news of this movie.
It was too alluring, too fascinating, and too riveting that I am determined to watch it as soon as possible. Because of the EOY,I did not want to undulate my feelings, so I delayed it to today as soon as I finished the last paper, which was 1:00p.m.
We seven freaks were not disappointed at all. 'Painted Skin' is marvoullous.
I strongly feel that Vicki Zhao(赵薇) played her role very well. As a wife who suffered from all the misunderstanding, threats and dishonesty from her husband, she was still willing to save all the people's lives at the cost of her reputation, her love, and even her life. Zhou Xun（周迅） is as skillful as usual, and as sexy,too. Her acting in the last act was so nice that made almost all of us cry. As a demon, she is heartless, but she is admant in love. Her love to Wangsheng(王生) made her sacrifice her chance to live, and made her over come her jealousy and prejudice to satisfy Wangsheng's last hope.
Chen Kun(陈坤), we has overcome the difficulty and the complexity of the role and acted out the spirit of the character, is another highlight of the movie. After watching his play in 《粉红女郎》，《金粉世家》，and《像雾像雨又像风》, you might think that his acting skill is limited. However, this "Painted Skin" would definitely prove you wrong. Personally speaking, I think he did a wonderful job in presenting the struggle and desire within a man. In his dreams, he was vulnerable to the allure of "九霄美狐" , but when he faced Peirong(佩蓉)，he appeared to be very committed. The battle in his heart was ongoing, and he needed to make an admant decision, instead of a wavering one. I love the way when he shed tears and told Zhou Xun that " I can have only one wife". At that time, having one or more concubines should not be blamed, yet he choose to be loyal to Peirong. However, the show made us torture when we realised how fragile his loyalty was when he went further to dream about the "hop spring encounter" and even almost became subjected to Xiao Wei's alluring.
His heart had already been stolen by Xiao Wei though he tried to deny the fact. When he defended Zhou Xun as Zhao Wei suspected that she was a demon, he was extremely rude and heartrendingly disappointing. And to my biggest grivance, in the end when his wife died, he confessed to the demon that he loved her but had got a wife already...This tremendous guilt was inexcusable. Perhaps it is this imperfectness in his character that made his role realer, better, and closer to human life.
Chen Kun and Zhou Xun have cooperated in their earlier acting life. Their consummate acting skills make this show a grand one.
